Correctional Officer Albert Carr, 57, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Christ Hospital. He attended the Jersey City Public School System a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. He furthered his education at Jersey City State College. Officer Carr has been gainfully employed at the Hudson County Correctional Facility for 19 years. He was a member of PBA 109 Executive Board for over 8 years. He retired from the Jersey City Housing Authority after 30 years of service. He enjoyed and loved his family unconditionally. There was nothing that he wouldn't do for them. He was always available to assist anyone in need, whether it was donating his time or money. He was a quiet warrior. He believed in demonstrating tough love no matter who you were. His co-workers looked up to him as a father figure and a friend. He was a die hard Dallas Cowboy Fan and he enjoyed professional boxing. Albert is preceded in death by his father Albert Carr Sr., mother Mildred Carr, brother Gregory Finley, sisters Barbara Jean Mays and Denise Barr. Officer Albert Carr Jr. leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Lucille Carr (McKenzie), Loving children LaChrisha and Albert Carr III. Caring siblings Patricia Harrison, Ronald Finley, Mark Carr, Stepbrothers Richard and Robert Phelps. (2) Brother-in-laws Saleem McKenzie (Lisa) and Melvin Fox McKenzie and (1) sister-in-law Shirley McKenzie. Also, survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
