Alice R. Davis(Robinson) returned to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on Friday January 17, 2014. Born in Rosehill, NC, she resided in Jersey City most of her life with her late husband Fred B. Davis. A dedicated member of Salem Baptist Church for over 60 years, she was devoted to her work on the Usher Board and was always available to help with all church activities. She was a founding member of the Jersey City Red Hats Organization. Alice will be remembered for her cakes and pies and her loving and giving nature. She is survived by her cherished children; Gwendolyn, Janet and her husband Ronald Dukes, Monica, Donald Sr and wife Bernice; grandchildren Jordan, Donald Jr. and Nicole, siblings Bernice (Willie Mae), Lee Robinson and Mary V.Dawkins and her late brother James. Also special mother-in-law Dr. Hazel Dukes. A host of neices, nephews and cousin and friends. Also her furry children Rosie and Sam Alice worked as a seamstress, a visiting homemaker and on the first maintenance crew at Newport Centre Mall.
