Anita Pernell Holmes was born to Juanita Andrades and Pernell H. Holmes at Margaret Hague Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey on December 28, 1960. After a few years in Hoboken, NJ she moved to Brooklyn, NY where she attended elementary school P.S. 256. The family then moved to Pontiac, MI where she completed 2 years of middle school and one year at Pontiac Northern High School. The family moved back to Hoboken, NJ where she graduated from Hoboken High School in 1979. Anita attended Delaware State College where she majored in Criminal Justice. She was employed with Hudson County Corrections for 20 plus years as a corrections officer. Anita enjoyed spending time with her family, mostly her two daughters who meant the world to her. She enjoyed traveling, spending her free time at bingo, Atlantic City & Las Vegas. There was nothing Anita wouldn't do for her family and friends. She had a heart of gold and was truly a blessing from God. She was a member Go Ye Therefore Ministries Inc in Hoboken NJ.
