Bernese Davis of Jersey City passed away on July 20, 2014. Loving wife of the late Abraham Davis, adored mother of Derik G. (Phyllis), Irene, and the late Wilson L. Beckett. Cherished sister of Mamie Cheek and also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends. Sista always believed in treating people the way she wanted to be treated. She always had a kind heart and loved all her friends and family. It's always hard to say good-bye to your mother, grandmother, and/or best friend so we are not going to say good-bye just rest Mom with your creator until we get there. Now that you're in God's hands, you're truly where you deserve to be, an angel. R.I.P. we love you always, your son, daughter, and grandson.
