Obituary

Brenda Waiters-Wilson was compassionate and brought joyful delight to those who knew her. She was born on Oct. 28, 1952 in Jersey City, NJ, the third child of the late George Earnest Waiters and Cecil Brock- Waiters. She was educated in the Jersey City school system, where she graduated from Henry Snyder High School in 1975, and afterwards attended Jersey City State College. In 1977 she married Donald Jordan, Sr. From that union were born two children, Sharonda and Donald Jordan Jr. In April 2005, she married Raymond Wilson, Over the years, Brenda worked at various occupations. Most recently, she was an Urban League Child Provider. She enjoyed and loved the children in her care; always developing an attachment to each of them. Brenda was a member of the Interdenominational Christian Community Church of Jersey City, NJ, where her church family loved her. Even though in recent years her health began to deteriorate, she continued to live life with a great zeal. She refused to be held down by sickness, as she continued to travel and enjoy family and friends. On September 18, 2011 the lord allowed her to enter into blessed rest. She was predeceased by her sister Naomi Gray. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband Raymond Wilson, her daughter Sharonda, her son Donald Jr., two stepchildren: Roberta McGuire, New York and Victor Corley, Michigan; two sisters: Mildred King (Hubert), Charlotte, NC, Geraldine Cameron (Rev. James), Jersey City; three brothers: Jerome (Carolyn), Miami, Fl, Ivy (Sharon), Georgia and Anthony (Angela) Waiters, Jersey City, NJ; two beautiful granddaughters, which she adored, Mia Hunt and Cherish Jordan; six grandchildren and 1 great grand child; father-in-law, Albert Webb (Juanita), Jersey City, NJ; a special sister-in-law Deborah Laroche (Winthrop), Virginia, along with three sister-in-law and one brother-in-law, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a great many friends.
