Cherry Lee Newton of Burlington Township, NJ, formerly of Newark, NJ passed away on May 2, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA. She was retired from the U.S. Post Office in Kearny, NJ after six years of service and was employed for 18 years as a Data Entry Clerk for Petrie Store, Inc. in Secaucus, NJ. She was a member of Grace Apostolic Church for 38 years where she served as Treasurer of Trustee Board and President of Renaissance Choir. She is the devoted wife of Leo F. Newton, cherished mother of Leo F. Newton II, Minister Daphne A. Newton, Lekiba S. Newton-Mahama and the late Franiel V. Newton. Daughter of the late William A. and Pastor Norlee S. Green. Dear sister of Kenneth Devant Greene and Shirley A. Watson. Grandmother of Rakiya S. Mahama and mother-in-law of Mustapha Mahama. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Remains will depart Newark on Thurs. May 6, 2010 on Delta Flight # 2842 at 6 PM, arrive in Atlanta at 8:37 PM. Depart Atlanta on Fri.
