Costella Drucilla Coles-Foster, age 96, a lifelong resident of Jersey City passed away peacefully on November 19, 2012 at her home. Costella was a licensed beautician and also a clerk-typist for the MOTBY in Bayonne and retired after 30 years. She was also an accomplished pianist/organist and directed many choirs at various churches in the Jersey City area. A true "Freedom Fighter" Costella was a life member of the Jersey City Branch of the NAACP and served in various positions on the Executive Board. Costella was predeceased by her husband, Henry Foster; her parents, Christopher and Augusta Coles Sr.; sisters, Audrey Hart, Constance and Charnette Coles; and nephew Lamont Johnson.
