Deacon Cornelius Brown, 94, on Saturday January 2, 2010 long time Jersey City resident and U.S. Navy veteran, was called home. He died Saturday in his Jersey City resident. After his Honorable Discharge from the military, he worked at Gypsum Inc. for 20 years and the Jewish hospital for 19 years, until his retirement in 1985. He was the beloved son of the late William Henry and Eva Brown of Barnesville, South Carolina. He is also preceded in death by two sons, William and Walter; a sister Rosa Lee Walker; a brother Franklin Brown. Beloved husband of Gloria A. Brown; and a son Timothy of Toms River, NJ; a sister Betty Smith of Trenton, NJ; three grandsons; two great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter; 2 favorite newphews Cornelius and Franklin Walker.
