Deaconess Edith Bell, 83, of Jersey City passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2013 at Christ Hospital. She was employed with Maiden Form and Cuddle Teen Frocks for 28 years. Edith became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Jersey City in 1955 where she served on the Joint Usher Board and the Deaconess Board later moving her membership to Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Hoboken. She was the beloved wife of the late Deacon Charles Bell, cherished mother of Yvonne Covington (Willie Walker). Loving sister of Leola Patterson, Richie L. Goodrum, Louise Flowers, Bessie L. Gillyard, and Johnnie L. DeLoach. Grandmother of one, great grandmother of two, godmother of one, a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law. She is predeceased by her husband, Deacon Charles Bell, parents James and Lydia DeLoach, four brothers, six sisters, and a son-in-law.
