Eleanor Joan Ragland, 64, born and raised in Jersey City , NJ passed away in her home on September 17, 2010. Eleanor, most commonly referred to as "Joan" was born on October 17, 1945 in Jersey City. Joan was educated in the Jersey City Public School system and completed some years at St. Peter's College. She was a long-time employee of the United States Postal Service. Joan enjoyed working with computers, collecting antiques, crocheting, movies, music, and many other hands-on tasks. Joan graciously accepted the role of "mother" to all, and was admired and loved by many. She is survived by her husband, Clarence William Ragland Jr.; Sons, Kevin Blue, Eric, Spencer and Travis Ragland. Daughter, Celeste Ragland, Host of Grandchildren, six brothers, three sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
