Elijah Levon Hayes departed on Sunday April 12, 2009 at home. He had been employed at President Container in Carlstadt, NJ as a Machine Operator Supervisor. He was the devoted father of Jeryl (Cheryl), Darnell, Larry, Jon, Cheryl, Meryl and Jonita. Loving grandfather of Shawn, Chanel, Basidy, Chante, Chazmin, Zhane, Dannielle, Philip, Danye and Jon Jr. Dear brother of Hazel Oliver-Holmes. Former husband of Delores Hayes.
