Elonda Lyle was born on January 19, 1952 to the late Clarence and Esther Small. She passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020. "Shorty" was born and raised in Jersey City. She attended PS#14 and Lincoln High School. After the death of her parents, she was raised by family matriarch Beatrice "Babydoll" Garry.  In April 1979 she married David W Lyle. They had 2 children, David and Janet. She enjoyed her time employed by two specific companies; Sterns department store and Marshalls department store. Elonda is preceded in death by siblings Akethia Small, James Small, Diana Small McAlister and Geraldine Small Alston. Surviving her are 2 children; David and Janet Lyle; sister Roxanne Small; daughter-in-law Frances Burnette-Lyle; 4 grandchildren, Nashira Banks, Eshon Burnette-Scott, Debra Lyle and Alanah Banks. She also leaves 2 special sister-in-laws, Shirley Chance Lyle and Viola "Lulu" Lyle; along with many loving nephews, nieces and friends. Interment, Bayview Cemetery, Jersey City.
