Obituary

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die: A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. Eric Seal Martin was born on January 28, 1982 in Jersey City, NJ. He was the son of the late Cherelyn Marie Martin. Eric was educated in the Jersey City Public School system attending Public School #17, graduating from Lincoln High School and receiving his Associates Degree in Business Administration at Johnson & Wales University, North Miami, Fl. At an early age Eric dedicated his life to Christ. Eric was baptized by the late Bishop Leroy Johnson and became a member of Rebethed Aposlkbik Church in Jersey City, NJ. As a member Eric was a Junior Deacon, Junior Usher, apart of the Youth Crusaders Choir, and maintaining the up keeping of the church. In 2002 Eric became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Jersey City, NJ Rev. John H. McReynolds, Pastor, where he was apart of the Welcome Committee and offering his assistance to various auxiliaries and programs. Eric was always a hard working man, he started his career at young age. Eric was employed with Walt Disney World Theme Park, Orlando, Fl, and Watson Mortuary, Jersey City, NJ; up until his untimely death he was employed with Delta Airlines, JFK, New York, NY, and Newark Liberty Airport, Newark, NJ. Eric grew a fond passion for his community and of the civil rights movements, as he became a member of the NAACP organization, Hoboken Branch. Eric was also well known in the political community, campaigning for various local politicians. He was the loving grandson to Lula Mae Martin; adored son to the late Cherelyn Martin; loving brother to Cedric, Fredric, Chakeya, Victoria, Krishia Martin and Tyisha Wilson; Cherished nephew to Lisa (George) Tucker, Lenora and Richard Martin; Godfather to Jade Watson; also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews and many other loving Relatives and Friends.
