Evelyn Juanita Oliver (nee Rogers) was born on January 26, 1945 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was called to Heaven on Saturday August 22, 2009. Evelyn was the only child of the late William and Jessie Lee Rogers. Evelyn married her childhood sweetheart, the late George (Pee-wee) Oliver. She was a very proud, kind-hearted, family oriented woman, who loved her family unconditionally. All that met her knew there was nothing she would not do for her children: Pamela, Yvonne, Pete, Tia, Jerome, Eleanor, Tina and Charlene. Evelyn's strong work ethic was evident throughout her life. A hard working woman, she worked in the US Postal Service and later became a supervisor in the Hudson County Juvenile Correctional Facility where she retired.
