Geraldine (Hemingway) Davis, daughter of the late General Jackson Hemingway Sr. and Albertha Wilson Hemingway, was born January 3, 1940. She was born, raised and educated in the Popular Community. She moved to New Jersey in 1959. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death: General J. Hemingway, General A. Hemingway, Jerlie J. Hemingway and Flora Batts. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 13, 2010 at home following an illness. On March 12, 1966 she was married to Mr. Luther B. Davis. One daughter preceded her into eternal rest, Mrs. Regina Brown. She leaves to cherish sweet memories, her husband, Luther B. Davis, two daughters, Patricia Hemingway-Pickett, South Carolina, a special daughter, Alexis Gore, PA, and two sons, Ronald (Rochelle) Hemingway, New Jersey, Llewellyn (Cynthia) Davis, New Jersey. Six brothers, Perry (Elizabeth) Hemingway, Michael (Viola) Hemingway, Delbert (Jonie) Hemingway, New Jersey, Dexter (Sarah) Hemingway, Isaac (Charlie) McCleon and James (Fannie) Carolina, South Carolina. Three sisters, Deloris (Ezekiel) Evans, Evon (Ray Charles) Cox, and Sharon Rogers, South Carolina. 8 grandchildren, 11 great- grand children. Six sister-in-laws, Lucile Simmons, Contis Scott, Marcy (John) Coleman, Annie (Willie) Allen, Evelyn (Clem) Davis, Gladys Davis, Betty Davis, South Carolina, Betty Davis, North Carolina and Lucille Hemingway, South Carolina, Five brother-in-laws, John Davis, Dandy (Gladys) Davis, South Carolina, George (Betty) Davis, Georgia, Eddie (Betty) Davis, North Carolina, Sam Hemingway, New York and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
