Haneef Henry Akbar, born August 24, 1939 in Jersey City, was a beloved mentor and loving father who was passionate about his community. He was the husband of Janice Akbar, and the brother of Louis "Nails" Arvinger, Donald "Sonny" Baskerville, Carol George, the late Dorothy Burke, and the late Earline Arvinger. He had six daughters, one preceding him, Donna Arvinger. He is survived by Shelia Tiller, Jacqueline Addison, Miriam Arvinger, Eija Akbar, and Quiyamah Akbar and many grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.
