Jamie B. Melvin, 34, of Jersey City, N.J. passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 6:20 a.m. in Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Jamie was a lifetime resident of Jersey City and attended Public Schools #22, #34 and Kenmore High School. She worked at New Jersey Turnpike, Day Care 100 and more. She is survived by one beloved daughter Johnasia Melvin and one son John Y. Melvin; Her beloved Mother and Father Mr. & Mrs. James and Marva Thornton; Three brothers Teddy Melvin of Fayetteville, N.C., Robert (Beverly) Melvin of German Town Maryland, James C.
