My Beloved Mother was called home on the morning of June 19th 2019. Jessie Mae Howard was born on August 20, 1936 in Allendale, South Carolina to the late Lucille & Wyman Taylor. Jessie attended State High School where she graduated from in June of 1955. In September of 1955, Jessie relocated to Jersey City, NJ. On March 23, 1957, Jessie was united in Holy Matrimony to Rufus Howard. Shortly after she joined Mt. Pisgah AME Church where she served as a stewardess, choir member, chairperson, and may other positions within the church. Jessie and her Husband Rufus were blessed with a child in 1981 whom they named Tiffany Jenene Howard. Jessie worked for many years at Lightolier as a fitter and retiring in 1999 from Zumobel Staff Lighting Company. Jessie enjoyed sports especially bowling, being a member of the Ellahooks Bowling League from the Early 70s to the Mid 80s and receiving a host of trophies. She was predeceased by her husband, Rufus Howard, her grand daughter Taylor Sade Howard, her Brother William Taylor, and her parents Wyman and Lucille Taylor. Jessie is Survived by her Daughter Tiffany Jenene Howard, two sisters Minnie Lou Grant and Annie Joe Dobson, two brothers Isaiah Albright and William Taylor, her Aunt Rosa Lee Myers, her uncle, Norris Myers, and a host of God-Children, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
