John Henry Serles entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2015 at the East Orange General Hospital. He was born November 28, 1945 in Jersey City, N.J. He attended the Jersey City School and worked his last 35 years as mailroom supervisor/security professional, while residing in Maplewood, N.J. He is predeceased by his parents Aaron and Bessie Mae Serles, sisters Arlena Jenkins, Dorothy Serles, and Patricia Miller, brother Willie Serles , and stepdaughter Kathy Cromer. He leaves to cherish his memory:), son John H. Serles Jr., life partner Rosa Jones, Johnny Franks, and Roslyn Martin (children), Four sisters Quennie Fitzgerald, Emma Keyes, Teresa Harrison (Ival), and Renee Carter. Two brothers, Sylvester (Chapean), and Joshua (Lillian). He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
