On May 24, 1951 Josephine Thomas Cooper was born to the late Arthur and Josephine Thomas, Sr. of Jersey City, New Jersey. Affectionately known as Joey went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2012. She attended the public school system and Salem Baptist Church. She graduated from The Culinary Arts School of Jersey City. She worked at Public School #12 as a Security Guard and was diligent about her duties. She is predeceased by her sisters Flugee Thomas and Dorothy Whaley. Joey will be remembered by her loving husband Jimmy Cooper, eight children, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
