Lucy Mae Ford was born August 30, 1931 in Kingstree, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late barter and Sara Green. Affectionately called "Gram" by her family and friends. She received her education from the Williamsburg, County School system also in South Carolina. Lucy Mae Ford leaves to cherish her memory and loving ways to nine children; Ruth McClary (Thomas, of Kingstree, SC, William McRea of Arizona, Patricia Jeter (William) of Jersey City, Ronald McCrea of Atlanta, GA, Ronder Maxwell of Jersey City, Loretta Ford of East Orange, NJ, Lucretia Ford, Ernestine Teal (William), Lu Frances Fugua all of Jersey City, thirty grandchildren, sixty-three great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. One God-son Dennis Flegler of North Carolina, two sister-in-laws, friends: Cynthia, Verline and Jessie, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
