LueElla McFadden of Jersey City, daughter of the late Odessa and Virgil Turner Sr., died Saturday May 28, 2011. She was the President of Parents and Communities United for Education and was involved in the public schools as an advocate for the children for well over forty years. LueElla had many years with parent involvement starting with her daughter, then her grandchildren Aieshia and Rashawn. Her ten years of efforts to help students that were labeled "special ed" led to "Inclusion". All of LueElla's accomplishments are too long to include in detail here. When LueElla was named president of PCUE back in 2008, she was determined to improve the quality of education for all public school children across the state. LueElla has sat in the offices of Senators, Assemblymen, Council members, and mayors discussing how they participate in our children's future through education. She will be missed. She is survived by 2 children Roxanne and Wesley McFadden. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of LueElla McFadden. You are invited to add a Tribute in her memory.
