Marcellus Slay passed way on Saturday October 1, 2011 at Christ Hospital. He was retired from Amtrak. He had been a member of Ocean Avenue Baptist Church for many years. Husband of the late Flora Slay. Devoted father of Gilbert D., Jesse C., and Edison J. Slay, Floria Ryals, Tonia Slay-Daniels and the late Marcellus Jr., Daniel W., and Ambis Slay and Carolyn Williams. Loving Grandfather of 18. Gr. Grandfather of 9. Father-in-law of Tarser White-Slay, Robert Ryals and John Daniels. Daughter-in-law Susan Perry-Slay. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
