Marjorie Clinton was a long time resident of Jersey City. She transitioned on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Jersey City Medical Center. Born on July 9, 1937, in Charleston, South Carolina where she also attended school. Marjorie worked for Hudson County Transportation as a School Bus Driver. She later became employed at Hudson County Home of the Aging as a Transport Driver. Marjorie was a member of Jersey City Deliverance Temple, and also served as one of the Mothers to the congregation at large. Marjorie was a dedicated church member, avid reader and adventurous shopper. Marjorie had a wisdom, born through experience and will be truly missed. Her Faith in God and her strength will be forever remembered by those closest to her. Marjorie Clinton was the only child of Elijah & Martha Alston of Charleston, SC., both deceased. Marjorie was a dedicated mother of ten children; Barbara, Lucius, Anthony, Cassandra, and Martha "Gina" all of Jersey City, NJ and Adrianne of Sinking Spring, PA. Rose, Elijah, Marlene and Jimmie Clinton which all preceded her in death. Marjorie has 28 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Marjorie has one sister-in-law and dear friend in Dorothy Powell, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Marjorie Clinton.
