Melvin Garry Hatchett of Jersey City, NJ passed away on March 2, 2017. He was the beloved husband of (the late) Ardelle Hatchett; loving father of Gary A. Van Liew, Gabrielle L. Jenkins, Edith K. Brown, Jeanette Van Liew; brother of William E. Hinton, Lawrence R. Hinton, Rowlan M. Hinton, Michael J. Hinton, Carolyn P. Serles, Barbara Y. Rushing, (the late) Joyce A. Johnson, and (the late) Robert S. Hinton; and grandfather of (14) grandchildren and (13) great- grandchildren. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
