Rebecca Thomas of Jersey City, passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2009. Wife of the late Charles Thomas, Sr., adored mother of Bernard, Carol, and the late Melvin Daise. Evon and Charles Thomas, Jr., Clay Council, Victoria McMillan and Deborah Howell. Loving sister of Nettie Heyward. She raised 2 of her 30 grandchildren, Shamira Thomas and Yasmine Calhoun. She is also survived by 29 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and a godchild Allenia Smith, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
