Mr. Robert Brown, Sr., retired police officer, passed away on Friday April 2, 2010 at Christ Hospital, Jersey City, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ on May 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Goldie Mae Bullock Renix. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Rutgers University. He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He worked as a police officer for the Jersey City Police Dept. for 25 years before retiring in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ann Brown of Jersey City; three sons, Robert Brown Jr., Gregory Brown,& Damion Brown all of Jersey City; one daughter, Kimberly Brown of Jersey city; seven grandchildren, Jarrett Scribner, Janayah Scribner, Jasmine Scribner, Shamika Funches, David Brown, Delilah Brown, & Xavion Wright; one great-granddaughter, Sariya Scribner; and very special childhood friend, Walter Brown.
