Shirley Ruth Spells, of Jersey City, NJ passed away on March 3, 2012. She was an administrative assistant for Ocean Avenue Baptist Church in Jersey City. Wife of the late Walter A. Spells, cherished mother of Lori and Vernadette Spells. Beloved daughter of Eula and Lawrence J. Irick. Dear sister of Bobby, Marion, George, Ernestine, Eula L. and Priscilla Irick, Barbara Dickson, Patricia Wideman, and Verna Adams. Adored gradmother of Ta'Quana Spells and great grandmother of Ashanti Spells.
