Our loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Ted, entered into eternal life on October 4, 2012. Ted was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He retired from the Department of Public Works after working for over 30 years, holding numerous positions including Acting Director of the Forestry Department. He loved his family and was well known for telling people to "Live, Love and Laugh". He was predeceased by his parents, William and Kathleen Martin, three sisters, Cheryl Berry, Deborah Martin and Beverly Richardson. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Martin; two sons, Brian Martin(Tisha) and Elgin Mitchell; four daughters, Lynda Darcel Martin, Lisa Martin-Townsend(Cade), Stacey Hallenbeck(Paul) and Amber Tanese Martin; one brother, Franklin Martin; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
