Toni Rena Ingram Brewington peacefully took the master's hand to enter rest on Monday August 24, 2009. Toni was born on September 6, 1961 to Mozelle Verdell Ingram and William Thomas Ingram Sr. in Salisbury, N.C. Toni was one of eight children. A sister to William Thomas Ingram Jr., Rosetta Sloan, Connie Ingram, Candace Chambers, Michael Ingram and the late Barbara Cox and Delwanda Ingram. Toni later relocated to Jersey City, New Jersey where she later met and married the love of her life, James Earl (Duke) Brewington. From their union four adored children were born: Shariyf Omar Ingram, Khalaf Af'dale, Hason Jamar and Tasheka Devone Brewington. Toni decided to move to Bayonne. It was there that she began her teaching career. She taught as a pre-school teacher at the YMCA of Bayonne. While working as a teacher she also went to college. She received her associate degree in Early Childhood Education from HCCC, then attending New Jersey City University. She ventured off to work for the Jersey City Public School System at various schools before making Ferris High School her home. She was a dedicated teacher's assistant and cheerleading coach. Toni was a loving wife, incredible mother, and amazing nana to Ja'Laiyah, Cyniah and Taleiyah. Sister-in-law of: Yvonne House, Calvin Sloan, Spencer Knight, Caroline and Robert Brewington. Special friend to Sharae Williams. She is also, survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loving relatives and friends.
