Tonya Alicia Ray was born to Robert R. Ray, Sr. and Darlene (Brown) Ray on June 11, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York. She suddenly departed this life on Saturday, December 19, 2105, at her home in Jersey City NJ. Tonya was educated in the Jersey City Public School system and graduated from Henry Snyder High School in 1986. She continued her education at Hudson County Community College and earned an Associate's Degree in 1994. Tonya worked at the Jersey City Board of Education and was a dedicated and committed employee until her passing. She was a member of Corinthian Baptist Church and loved worshiping at her church home. She was a gentle, warm, generous and loving, person who always greeted you with a contagious smile. Tonya leaves to cherish her memory: loving son, Charles Bailey; her devoted parents, Robert R. and Darlene Ray of Jersey City, NJ; her caring brothers, Robert R. Ray Jr (Antoinette) and Reginald Ray (Tenneil). In addition, she leaves 2 nephews, 2 nieces, 5 aunts, 4 uncles and a host of cousins, friends and co-workers.
