Ulyses Williams entered into eternal rest on January 25, 2015 in Humble, TX, at the age of 92. Ulyses was born and raised in Newberry, SC. He entered into the United States Army on January 12, 1943 and was honorably discharged on February 2, 1946. He then moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey and sought employment at General Motors were he retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 195~ Linden, NJ. Ulyses met Juanita Herring-Johnson (deceased) and they married on May 10, 1958; two children where add to their family. Ulyses was a member of Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. church in Jersey City and Mt. Moriah in Newberry SC. He sang in the "Celestial Choir"; was a devoted trustee and Sunday school teacher. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Denise S. Williams-Reid, one son Derek Ulyses Williams, two daughters-in-law Kaleida Williams and Helen Johnson; One son-in-law Rex D. Reid; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
