Obituary


John Henry Watson of Jersey City, NJ (formerly of Philadelphia, PA)  made his transition on Sunday November 14, 2021.  Mr. Watson was the owner of Watson Mortuary Service, Inc. since 1994. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War and was awarded a Double Purple Heart...After 20 years of service to his country John moved to Jersey City, N.J.

He joined Salem Baptist Church and became a faithful member to the end.  While at Salem Baptist Church he became the Chairman of the Deacon Board for many years.

John was a licensed Mortician and graduated from AAMI. in New York. He was a very strong willed independent person who went out of his way to help others.

He leaves to cherish his memory; loving wife, Candace M. Watson, sons, Dawud (Keith), Matthew and Keavney Watson. His mother Anna Watson, grandchildren; Jade, Jaden, Saja and Ayah. Also survived by a host of loving relatives and friends.

To everyone who reached out to us during our time of mourning, we are grateful for your continued support and love during our time of need. Mr. Watson will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
